What is Cryotherapy and what does it treat?

Cryopen is an advanced cryotherapy innovation that is fast, effective, safe and a new solution for removal of skin imperfections.  Procedures typically last from 5 to 30 seconds, so you can be in and out of the clinic quickly.

The Cryopen emits a fine jet of nitrous oxide under high pressure, which allows the clinician to work with millimetre precision.  This destroys the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid, forming ice shards and crystals which rupture the membrane, thereby destroying the cell.  That means there will be no collateral damage to healthy tissue. its so incredibly accurate and practical.

Cosmetic procedures such as skin tags, milia, cherry angiomas are no longer being treated by many doctors on the NHS.  With the Cryopen you can now have these treatments in Perfection Skin Clinic.

Mila Removal

.Milia are tiny (1-2mm) cysts filled with keratin, a type of protein within the skin. They develop under the top layer of the skin and can often appear around the eyes, nose or on the cheeks and don't have the same inflammation as whiteheads. There are two main types: Primary milia are formed directly from trapped keratin; Secondary milia form after something clogs the ducts leading to the skin surface, usually after a trauma to the skin, such as an injury or burn.
