December is here. Can I just say, I love christmas. I love the twinkling lights, the singalong music, the smiley faces, the Christmas markets, and most of all, the wonder on little childrens faces when they meet Santa Claus.
Yes, its a lot of work, presents to buy, food shopping, decorations to put up, hours in the kitchen, preparing and cooking a sumptious meal for just one day, but it's worth it. For I don't know how long, I've followed Delias Christmas cookbook, preparing everything the day before, singing along to Nat King Cole, usually finishing at around 10 pm on Christmas eve. Just in time to put the carrot and sherry out for Santa and his Reindeer.
Needless to say, it doesn't leave a lot of time for doing my nails, spending any time on my face, hair or make up. A week or two before, is when I tackle that job.
I visit my favorite hairdressing salon to touch up my colour (cover the grey). I then have Gelish or Biosculpture Gel applied to my toenails and fingernails, usually in a sparkly red colour, which lasts the whole Christmas and New Year period. Fantastic! I don't have to think about those anymore.
Next, my favorite thing at the moment, my AH Francis eyelashes. They stay on for at least 3 weeks, so all I have to do with my make up is, a dab of BPC mineral powder, a dot of blush, a touch of lipstick, and I'm good to go.
This year I have even dabbled in a bit of Semi Permanent Make Up to my eyebrows. As I'm getting a little older the eyebrow hairs do seem to be disappearing and having just a little semi permanent added to my own brows will prevent that horrible mirror moment of trying to pencil them in evenly on Christmas day or the dreaded moment I look in the mirror after lunch to realise that I've wiped one off whilst wiping the sweat off my face during the cooking!
So don't forget that Christmas and New Year is about celebrating with your family & friends and what better way than sprucing yourself up and enjoying the festivities.
We we want to make you feel special and look great, we look forward to seeing you soon
Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year
